I have uploaded new images of some new floats as well as a float tube I made from the butt section of an old broken whole cane fishing rod. Its just big enough to house 5 of my reed & greenheart stick floats. There are also pics of several types of perch bobs, pike floats and a few avons too.

January 16 Muscovy Duck QuillsHello Float Anglers
I have uploaded new images of floats I have made. I found some Muscovy duck feathers near where i work, they are really strong and about the same length and thickness as a crow quill, they make a cracking avon and work really well too. There are also a few pics of some Reed Wagglers and quills i have just finished too.

January 04 New FloatsHello Float Anglers
You will notice i have uploaded some new images of floats I have just finished. There are 6 chubbers with nice kingfisher feathers, 2 large bodied pike floats made using some broken greenheart rod sections, the brass ferrule makes them slightly self cocking and very unique. there are several types of perch float, the standard type as well as some new inline perch bobs in both cork and balsa as well as a set of 3 Nottingham slider style floats. There are also wagglers, stick floats and avons too in all sizes.
I am currently working on some new floats using some lovely new feathers i have bought from a vintage fly tying kit.

December 09 Perch/grayling bobs plus a nice swan quill pike floatHello Float Anglers
I have just uploaded some fresh images of Perch/Grayling bobs made with lovely and very rare Indian Roller feathers. There is also a nice pike float built on a large swan quill, its a little different but I like it, any feedback would be good. Il be making 150 pike floats 75 on a cane stem & 75 on a quill stem, il be signing & numbering each one.

December 07 Pike & PredatorsPike, Perch & Zander
As you can see i have uploaded a few images of pike floats & perch bobs, they are nice floats & just right for a small live/dead-bait or big lob worm or minnows for perch. I have several others near finished so keep looking for more updates.
Just bought myself a new Hardy 14' float rod & Centerpin reel, im going roach fishing this weekend on the Wensum to try it out, il keep you informed on how well it goes.
If you want a float or 2 making just let me know & il get on with them straight away.

December 03 New slider floatsHello Float Anglers
I have just uploaded a few fresh images of a small set of 3 slider floats I was asked to make. They are made from Balsa & Swan quill, have 2 brass eyes and each has a feather inlaid under the varnish. Im quite pleased with them really and they look a treat with the small JC feather on them.

November 13 New crow quill avon floatsHello Anglers
I have just uploaded some fresh images of new floats i have made. Sticks, Crow Quill Avons & Wagglers. The crow avons are lovely, they are the the most fiddly to make but worth every bit of effort. Most of the new floats were made for 1 order, by all accounts he sounds quite the match angler from e mail conversations we had. I made 4 crow avons, set of wagglers & a set of sticks for him as well as a set of smaller avons for his friend Roy. I have made a set of balsa stick floats for John Bailey for him to use on his Wensum roach fishing so im hoping he will like them, il keep you posted on how he gets on with them. November 03 New Floats & float BoxesHello Everyone
I have just uploaded some images of new floats I have finished plus the new boxes i can offer. There are a couple of nice sets, the boxes are made of wood, lined with baise and float box foam to secure the floats in position. I have added a small brass plaque with the customers name on too.
My camera has come back to life and seems to be working fine again now. Il give it one more chance & then il get a new one.

I have just uploaded some fresh images of my latest floats, I love the new swan quills, they look great and work well too. Im starting to do quite a lot of work with quills again, crow, phesant, goose & swan, they are really nice to make & its nice to use quills ive found while fishing.
Sorry the images are a bit dark, my camera started to take dark images and last night refused to work at all so it looks like il have to buy a new one.

October 22 Vintage rods, reels, lures, books & floatsVintage Fishing Tackle I'm quite a collector of vintage tackle, anything from rods, reels, floats, lures & books. I'm always on the lookout for any vintage gear so if you have anything you would like to sell or swap for some floats id be happy to discuss. Modern day tackle is good gear & i have my fair share of the stuff but it just leaves me A bit cold nowadays, give me cork & cane and I'm a much happier angler. Remember il be uploading new images soon so be sure to keep checking in.
